Terms of service

Last updated: [DATE]. By paying for or using Quidity, you agree to these terms. We have written them in plain language.

1. What we provide

Quidity offers two services:

  • Setup. A one-time build of your personal profit and loss statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement from the account exports you send us, including your categories and account mapping.
  • Monthly close. Each month we tag your new transactions, update your statements and send you a one-page report. Reserve tracking for goals you set is included. A review call is available if you ask for one.

2. Education, not advice

Quidity provides financial education, frameworks and reporting. It is not licensed financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice, and we are not your financial advisor, accountant, tax preparer or attorney. Our reports describe what your own data shows. Decisions about your money are yours, and you should consult a licensed professional for advice about your situation.

3. What we need from you

  • Complete and accurate exports from every account you want included.
  • Honest answers to our intake questions.
  • Your monthly exports each month. We cannot close a month we have not received.

Our statements and reports are only as complete and accurate as the information you send. We do not audit or verify your data against your institutions.

4. Pricing and payment

Pricing is custom. Setup starts at $500, and your price is based on your intake answers, including how many accounts you have and whether you have a mortgage, rental property, business or similar. We show you your exact setup and monthly prices before you pay. Monthly close is billed monthly in advance at the price shown when you sign up. Payments are processed by [PAYMENT PROVIDER], and we do not see or store your card details.

5. Timelines

We deliver your first report within 6 business days of receiving your complete exports, and each monthly report within 6 business days of receiving your month-end exports. If your exports are incomplete or unclear, the timeline starts once we have what we need.

6. Cancelling and refunds

  • Monthly close. You can cancel any time before your next billing date and you will not be charged again. We do not refund a month that has already been billed.
  • Setup. If you ask before we have started building, we will refund your setup fee in full. Once building has started, setup is not refundable, because the work has been done.
  • If something is wrong with our work, tell us and we will fix it.

7. Your data

We handle your files as described on our privacy page. We never ask for your bank logins. You keep ownership of your data and your statements, and you can ask us to delete your files at any time.

8. Limits

We work carefully, but we cannot promise that our reports will be free of error or suit your purposes. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that cannot be waived.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we will tell active clients before it takes effect. Using Quidity after that means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, [CONFIRM WITH YOUR LAWYER].
